This is a vast number of the population — and, with the rising life expectancy and advancing healthcare, it has the potential to keep growing.
Concerns about your elderly loved ones dealing with potential vulnerabilities, such as injuries or falls when left alone, are common in all types of ageing care.
We discovered that this is a similar statistic across the country among those who care for their elderly loved ones. Of the six thousand people we surveyed, we found that this is a concern for many carers across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

According to our survey, 20% of carers in England, 19% in Scotland, 13.7% in Northern Ireland, and 16% in Wales, are unable to make those frequent visits. We also discovered that 51.2% of carers in the UK worry about their loved ones experiencing loneliness.

A big concern for carers is their loved one having a fall and not being able to get to the phone to call for help. This affected 32% of English carers, 36% of Scottish carers, 39% of Welsh carers and 29% of Northern Irish carers.
